Having sold more than 20 houses over the years I have a rather high set of expectations for Real estate agents. Patie and her team met and exceeded them. From the first meeting to the final one there was no pressure and no hype. Her market research, analysis, time lines, as well as the follow up and follow through were great. Initially, my wife and I weren’t committed to making a purchase, yet alone, look for an Agent. We were new to the city, and still in the process of familiarizing ourselves with the area and its amenities. We would browse listings every now and again, just to see what was available. And then one day, we saw something that sparked our interest. Utilizing the, ‘Contact Me’ link in the Zillow app, I supplied my contact info. Within minutes, Martin Huggins from the Pattie Millen Group contacted me. Although I received a few responses, Martin was the first. I mentioned the loft of interested, and that we just wanted to walk through and see how it looked in person. Very friendly and accommodating, he agreed to meet with us the very next morning.
One thing that especially resonated with me was his honesty, and compassion to our needs. While he did show us the unit as requested, he was very upfront with the specifics regarding that particular property. I wouldn’t say he swayed us, but rather addressed our ideal qualities in a home. That really impressed us, because he could have not disclosed anything, and we may have purchased that property. There was never a feeling of judgement, or pressure to view similar homes, etc. As it turned out, that wasn’t the place for us. Fortunately, he listened to what we liked (and didn’t) and showed us another home that was more in line with our wants/needs. Martin really delivered on his recommendation, and that home really checked all the boxes. I contacted my Lender, and within days called Martin and asked him to put in an offer.
We had some delays with the Lender along the way, but Martin was there to assist in every way he could. He was in constant contact with the bank, the Seller, and title company to make sure everything went smoothly. If ever we had questions about the process (there were plenty), he always addressed it in a timely and efficient manner. Not once was there a delay, or hesitation on Martin’s part to resolve an issue; evenings and weekends alike. On the day of the Signing, he met us at the title company just in case anything came up. Even after the move, he would reach out just to check in and make sure everything was going well. Matter of fact, we still speak with him months later. We jokingly say, it’s all in his name: “Huggins”. A great real estate agent, and an all-around good guy. Thanks again, Martin!
