Jacksonville is a charming town about 5 miles west of Medford. It is a National Historic Landmark and was site of one of the first gold claims in 1852. Great shops and restaurants front California Street and it is the entry to the beautiful Applegate river and valley.

Jacksonville is home to the Peter Britt Festival, a huge favorite of local residents. The Britt is an outdoor amphitheater that brings in top name talent year after year. Over the past several years we have enjoyed Chicago, Diana Ross, Pat Benatar, Rick Springfield, Doobie Brothers, Jackson Browne, Eric Burden and many others. It is always a good time under the Oregon start filled sky.

The homes in Jacksonville are all quaint and the town steeped in history is captivating. Beautiful rural areas are just a few minutes from the downtown. There are many hiking areas, fabulous wineries including our favorite, Dancin Vineyards owned by Dan and Cindy Marca. Wonderful setting for you to enjoy your afternoon.
